Tax Free Holiday

Missouri’s Tax Free holiday for back-to-school purchases is August 7-9.  TigerTech will take advanced orders for computer related items to be picked up and paid for during the tax free holiday.  Contact TigerTech for more details.

 

Dell

Dell products sold at TigerTech can also be purchased through the University Dell Premiere Online Portal at the same education discount prices offered at TigerTech.  Recommended bundles are available both at TigerTech and the Dell Premiere Portal.  The full Dell catalog is also available through the Premiere Portal with discount pricing.

Apple

If you plan to purchase an Apple laptop you should be aware that Windows is required to access a few of our resources.  Several options are available to resolve this issue.  One option is to install Windows on your laptop so you can dual-boot to Windows and the Mac OS.  The other option is to purchase the software package Parallels.  Both options will also require the purchase of a Windows Vista license which can be purchase from TigerTech at a student price.

Special Note: In the past some students have purchased tablet computers.  While these are more expensive and more fragile, if you wish to purchase a tablet, it should meet the same specifications listed for laptops.
